COVID-19 HYGIENE PROTOCOLS

In order to protect the health and well-being of all our patients, whilst providing a full ophthalmology service to the community we have made a number of changes to the practice.

  • We have reduced the number of appointments available each day and aim to keep waiting times as short as possible.
  • The waiting room chairs are spread throughout the room so as to allow social distancing.
  • To facilitate social distancing there will usually only be one ophthalmologist and their patients present at one time.

HYGIENE MEASURES

All staff have completed COVID-19 training including safe hand washing procedures and the staff have been instructed not to come to work if they experience flu like symptoms, have traveled in the last 14 days or have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19. Stringent hygiene practices are adhered to, including cleaning of all testing equipment after each patient and high touch points.

We have reduced all nonessential visitors to our practice .

We will closely monitor all available information provided by the Aust department of health, RANZCO, AMA and international health organisations.

If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, have travelled in the last 14 days, or have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 kindly postpone your appointment.
